Well I just bought Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus (for only € 12,95; I love Microsoft HUP) and I wanted to discuss the newest office version. You can also try a trimmed down online version for free at http://office.live.com I've just installed it and so far I can see they got rid of that big office button. Instead they got this "new" file tab on the ribbon. A couple of things I like so far is the when you browse the file menu it takes up the entire screen. If you click on print to see submenu of it, you will automatically see the print preview on the right side and you can adjust the most used printer preferences such as orientation or single/double sided printing. Furthermore I like it's design. It's yet another step further away from that windows 95 design. I haven't tried the online version yet, but I heard you get a free 25 GB storage for all your documents. It sounds good so far. |

SkyDrive (the 25GB storage) comes with any Windows Live account. So if you've got WLM, a hotmail account, or anything from Microsoft, you can access that storage. You can also put *anything* you want there. There are several programs which allow easy integration with Windows (aka add the drive as a network storage device), but with MS Office 2010 the feature is actually built in (somewhere). I haven't connected Office 2010 to my Live account yet, but I know it's possible to save documents to SkyDrive from within the desktop version of Office. Anyway, looking like a great deal. Think I'm getting this for my Dad for father's day. EDIT - NVM looks like you need a special code and a company specific email.. |

You know, I did see this and considered getting Office 2010 at a discount price for students, but seeing as I just got used to 2007, I don't really want to change again. Changing from 2003 to 2007 was hard enough. 2007 is a really good version and I can't see any reason to change so relatively soon after getting it. Definitely would be nice for a new computer, though. |

2007 to 2010 isn't a big difference. I like it a bit more, but 2010 is to 2007 as 2003 was to previous versions. Slight changes, and mostly for the better, but nothing huge. Unless you're a big fan of Outlook. |

I did try the beta, and I really liked it, mostly because of the changes from jumping 2003 to 2010, mainly positive. The new features put in to most of the applications, in my opinion, were long overdue. Word has improved navigation, which I really adore, Excel has that new pivot stuff which makes things somewhat easier to manage, especially on my herb runs. And so on. As for getting it, I guess I'll wait for a good discount offer to come my way, beta doesn't end til Halloween anyway, and there's not alot of bugs, unless you link Outlook to your Windows Live ID. Ugh. |

I've been using the BETA for several months now, and I love it. Will definitely be buying is ASAP. |
