I would like to get a new graphics card, since at the moment I have an intergrated one and it is horrible what type of graphics card would you recommend. Is it better just to wait to get a new pc ? £100 would be the price limit I think. English sites please. Thanks Kenny |

Do you have an AGP or PCI slot? |

And also is this is a laptop or desktop? Graphics cards can be tricky things to upgrade on laptops. |

And are you running Vista or XP (or some other OS...)? Nvidia have been having some problems with their Vista compatible cards. |

8800 is the best now, but if you have cash go for it, it's more than 200, 8600 will hold up |

Mikhail wrote: 8800 is the best now, but if you have cash go for it, it's more than 200, 8600 will hold up No, the 8800 isn't the best anymore. The best is the 9800GX2, then 9800GTX, 8800GTX, 8800GTS, 8800GT, then the 9600GT. The 9600GT is one of the best value cards you can buy at the moment. http://www.ebuyer.com/product/141670 That one would be a good one to get, since it's also overclocked - it runs faster than the default speed. With a good card like that, though, you'll need a good motherboard and processor to make sure the FSB or CPU don't bottleneck your system and stop the card using its full capabilities. |
