To any other Vista users..How was the upgrade experience? I'm putting it off for at least a few days, but not to see how others were faring. Just curious if anyone has a good/bad story. Well, I suppose if you had a bad story, you wouldn't be posting (you'd be looking at a dead computer or something), but any info would be great. I've heard that copying speeds are noticeable straight off, but other than that I haven't heard too much. I'll be installing this weekend, but as I said - any other information regarding your upgrade experience would be welcome. |

It's now out. I've installed it on my windows comp, and there are no noticable speed increases, additional features, or anything. Zip extraction is still ludicrously slow (go 7zip!), I don't use the built-in copying anyway (go Teracopy!), and network performance seems about the same too. It doesn't really seem to have done anything. At all. |
