I recently bought a HP laptop, but I spotted a nice Dell Inspiron laptop and I'm thinking about getting a refund of my HP to get a Dell, but I'm not sure. Please check them and see what you think: Dell Inspiron 1525 Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T5450 (1,66GHz/2Mo cache/667Mhz bus frontal) Windows Vista® Edition Home Premium Memory SDRAM DDR2 667MHz 2 Go, 2 DIMMs HDD SATA 160Go 5400 rpm Intel GMA X3100 (Anti-Glare Screen) Price: $799.99 HP Pavilion dv6705ca AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 TK-57 (1,9 GHz, 512 Ko cache) Windows Vista® Edition Home Premium Memory SDRAM DDR2 667MHz 2 Go, 2 DIMMs HDD SATA 160Go 5400 rpm Geforce 7150M (Glossy Screen) Price: $819.99 Both of them have the same RAM, HDD and OS. However, I think Dell's CPU is a bit better and less battery-consuming. Also, I think I prefer Anti-Glare. Also, the HP graphic card is a lot better for games like HL2. They are both really good-looking, so I'm hesitating. If you have any comment please tell. If you need pictures of them I will gladly post some too. Edit: I could have a 250Gb HDD and 3Gb RAM for the Dell Inspiron 1525 for $899.99 total |

The dell. Dell gives you less bloatware. Also the Core 2 is better than the AMD. |

 Now the Dell Inspiron 1525 I'm thinking about getting is $749.99 and includes a wireless mouse. I really think I'm going to get that instead of the HP. I'm not so sure if the Intel GMA X3100 is better than the GeForce 7150M though. I would say that the games I'm planning to play that are demanding the most are probably Half-Life 2 and Heroes V... Maybe AOE3 but I can always stay with AOE2 which is some hardcore oldschool. |

the gfx card in both are quite sucky, aoe3 wouldnt play very well on either. my desktop has better gfx card and i dont even have it installed. the HP has a better gfx card btw. |

I accidentally voted for the Dell Inspiron when I really wanted to vote for the HP Pavilion. I would go with the HP Pavilion because I bought one last Monday and it has been running very smoothly. Although I haven't tried using a Dell Inspiron, I can tell you that you won't be dissatisfied with the HP laptop. |

I'm still hesitating, as the Dell is cheaper and has a better CPU. Also, Dell having a worse gfx card can be helpful as it will force me to use it as a tool instead of as a way to waste my time at school

The Dell. 1: the commericals get me 2: the 2 core duo (always wanted one of those!) 3: cheaper (I don't go by price but it's a bonus in this situation) 4: it's a DELL! so yeah the core duo and the price would have it sold to me. hope this helps! |

I have a HP laptop and it's not giving me any troubles. I would go with the HP but it's you laptop, you decide. |
