Wireless, because my computer is ~50m away from the router. |

Yeah, I have a wireless router, which my Mac and PC connect to, but my Linux server is connected via wired Ethernet - it never moves, and is only 2m away from the router. |

Depends what for. I have found Wireless LAN to be very reliable (well, MY wireless LAN. the school one is terrible), although Wireless mice and keyboards to be rather unreliable - it's just different technologies. I'm really looking forward to UWB - Ultra wideband wireless. 2gigabit wifi... |

I use a wired router because its more convenient for my 4 port linksys router to connect to the internet and then I have a 24 port switch/hub that will connect all the rooms in the house to the network. Currently we don't have any laptops so we don't need a wireless router right now. right now we only have 5 computers on the network though with another ready and another that just needs some more work. |

Not to many people Well I do a lot of file transferring and stuff across my network, so 2gigabit wifi accross my home would be useful. |

Wireless right now, hardly a problem to be found. Occasionally, I lose a signal for no reason at all, but that is a rare anomaly. |

Cable, I like the reliability and the fact that I don't have to meddle with any form of port forwarding to get my games to run properly. I used to use wireless but now I'm on cable and one of the things I miss about my router is its status as a hardware firewall and the security that entails. On the upside I get a nice big 1.6 meg logfile (growing every day) from windows firewall showing all the attacks its blocked. Might just be me, but I like reading my firewall logfiles... |
