Here's what happend I picked up my ipod turned it on then pressed menu then all of a sudden the song menu comes up on top of the main menu and then freezes the ipod screen so now its frozen Good for nothing Apple ![]() |

This kinda thing happned to my buddy, he sent it back to apple and got a free one back. |

This happened to my mum's new ipod. Its easy to fix. Just hold the middle and menu button down. The screen will go blank, then the apple logo will appear, and a few seconds after that it should work fine. Holding down these two buttons just resets the ipod. There's no need to send it back or anything. |

If it's reset does that mean all the songs will disappear? |

if u reset and it doesent work then just go to http://www.apple.com register it and send it in fo ra new one. I have done this 4 times |

No, none of your songs or settings will be lost or anything. It all remains. |

ok I fixed it I just had to restore it to factory settings |
