This is a small guide to keep your pc secure, safe, faster:) I will provide you FREE programs of the best protection tools out there. - Tools: Hijackthis: http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn Description: Hijackthis is one of the best ways to manuly remove any harmfull registrys and the files themselves. It is advised NOT to delete ANYTHING unless you read the Hijackthis tutorial! Here is where the Hijackthis tutorial is located http://www.merijn.org/htlogtutorial.html Also, merijn.org has other programs that will help aswell like cwshredder - E Trust: http://go.microsoft.com/?LinkID=909975 Description: This is THE best antivirus program around! you get a year trial and it will STOP ALL VIRUSES that try to harm your pc befor they do. If you go to a site with viruses it will detect them instantly when they try to open! Also it keeps your proccess monitored and if a virus is detected from there POP its deleted. When a Virus is detected a dialog will pop up showing where the virus was being downloaded too and says if it has been deleted. - Spybotsearch&desstroy: Can be located at http://www.download.com (Make sure you update it after downloading) Description: This gos great with Hijackthis... with Spybot you simply scan your pc and it searches for just the virus names such as casino toolbar etc. All you'll need to do is clean them with the clean button:) - GoogleToolbar: http://toolbar.google.com Description: Googletoolbar is a great toolbar that blocks most if not all popups.. wich helps incase those popups contain viruses:) - few last things sometimes it is best to get a well known trusted browser with protection on it. Stay away from all optimizer programs like "Internet optimizer" it's spyware. And you should never go to any game sites like gamewinners i think it was.. most of them have viruses. Mostly stay away from all the casino game websites! Anyway hope this helped and hope you take my advice on how great these programs are:) |

Wow..Great guide! Yeah, I know that the Casino things have virus..I got some virus from it.. With out this guide, I wouldn't even know Internet Optimizer is a spay ware.. Thxs alot. |

2 other programs to help you guys out AVG antivirus the program I use for antivirus. It works great and it actually let's you vault it, wipe the file or heal it. Comes with E-Mail scanner too and you can get it here http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_index.php Also another option for Adware besides Search and destroy is Adware SE Personal. I use this since when using Spybot my resorces were manhandled (Dunno why). THis is just as relyable as spybot and is found below! http://www.lavasoft.com/ |

Google is meh, not free anti virus is way better. Like norton, or mc affee. I think your missing AdAware, i might of not seen it though. Not sure where to DL it, google it, it works 
Its like spybot, but way better. Run it with spybot for "l33t" spyware killing |
