if i put two ram sticks in my puter that are 2.0 each would i get 4.0 ram or would i still get 2 and one not being used? |

Most newer comps dont have a memory cap. |

Pretty much every pc has a memory cap, just depends on the motherboard, most name brand pc's, ie dell, gateway etc, have on average a memory cap of 1gb-4gb.. There are motherboards that support alot more memory though, 4gb+ etc. *Kyle, is your pc a name brand, or custom?* |

well i was looking around on google, looks like it has 2 memory slots, if its a good brand new motherboard, im sure it would hold 4gb of mem, however dont take my word cuz im not 100% sure. |

Which model is your ASUS p5s800-vm? Find out and download the manual for it here:http://support.asus.com/download/download_item_nn.aspx?model=P5S800-VM&product=1&f_name=&type=&SLanguage=en-US ASUS's manual says the memory cap and the memory type it supports. It's always best to check manual. |
