Depends. For PCs, I prefer AMD though they are burning hot.
For mobile devices and laptops, Intel definatly has the lead.

Intel really..there fairly dominante...type of pross that people with little or no experiance with pc's would use.

I have always found AMD cheaper for what you get, i run a AMD 2800+ and it was cheap and has been very good.

Wow...I had a huge talk about this yesterday. I choose AMD but I dont have one in my computer I would like to change that tho. He major'd in computer designing and stuff. AMD is ahead of Intel tech wise. Because it can process a lot more. We talked about a crap load of stuff.

But overall AMD is ahead of Intel is technology wise. But when Windows 64 comes out Intel might have a better processing unit.

AMD just plain out owns intel. Article there just shows that.. I have an AMD Processor myself and could never be happier. They are fast, reliable, better, and cheaper.

AMD for me.

AMD is actually better, but intel is more popular - dunno why...

AMD's are faster (but it doesn't really mtter wen ur AMD is 850mhz lol)

I have an AMD right now. It's very good and fast. I used to believe in intel, but with AMD you get more bang for your buck. I have one of the X2's, it's an excellent chip, doesn't run that hot either so thats good. In concert with my video card this machine can play half life 2 at 1600x1200. AMD's are good. Only thing I would say not to get are one of the FX series as they are mega expensive and only a fraction better than an old P4 2.4Ghz. I'd recomend the X2.
