I really like HP's, they have a really good deal on their pavilians. I have a AMD Dual Core processor from them, same one as shane, it's a great computer. Plus 1 gig memory and a 200 gig hard drive. ![]() |

E machines mainly.. Im tired of Dell, half their crap sucks lately.. HP is one of the worst, along with gateway. Ive had an HP, Gateway, Dell, IBM, an E Machines.. Emachines is the best so far from experience. However they have their ups and downs.. Dell has prolly the best tech support and service.. They are somewhat pricey, and they suck cuz they dont offer amd chips from what i have seen.. HP, i cant think of anything good from them. Gateway, same as hp.. I heard gateway is terrible is hardware replacement and tech support. IBM, well, hella expensive for so little.. Emachines, well built, very well priced, offer many different types of amd cpu's. So for now Emachines.. If i had the money i would build my own pc. |

I've owned 2 and they both suck. My HP doesn't compare, plus when you call support for e-machine they can't speak english. By the way, gateway bought e-machine. ![]() |

IBM (now Lenovo) all the way. Their PCs, especially laptops are really well made. I've had a few computers with them and I love it. Dell is the worst you can get. |

By the way, gateway bought e-machine. ![]() I know E-machines is a part of gateway.. Im saying that the emachines are alot more well built and with amd cpus than most other companies.. I was listing off what was good about them.. I would rather it well built rather than good tech support with a crap pc.. I dont need tech support unless i need something replaced.. I can take care of any other problems.. Also, almost all top brand pc companies, like Dell, Gateway, Emachines, Hp etc have alot of indian tech agents..lol Almost all the time you get some idiot that you can barely understand one word.. They hire people in india and pay them cheap to do tech support. Basically cheaper for them to build their tech support buildings in some other country.. For me, right now emachines is best, mainly cuz its better built and reliable.. Also depends what model of e-machines you get and what year you bought them. If you got them awhile ago, then of course they suck ![]() I also agree with Jeff, IBM is really good at building laptops very well. However, IBM prices are very high. In the end, there is no best computer maker i guess.. They all suck in many areas. Especially tech support and pricing. |

I agree with Krazzi. In the end, there are no best computer manufacturers. Either you are going with a low-end, cheap computer or a high-end, expensive computer. |

I like Dell and Emachine the best. HP isnt all that great and niether is compaq-which hp bought. Havent had a gateway yet but i havent seen anything that great from them either. I've only had 1 IBM and it crashed badly-but it was an old one. But I would rather build my own exccept I don't have the money ![]() |
