(A little about Me and My Goal) Hello, my name is lvl99blkmage (Level 99 Black Mage) Ofcourse I don't ever dream of reaching 99 in magic, but it seemed like a fitting name for the time. I have been immersed in RuneScape for about 18 months now and I have always strived to be the best (In my mind at least). So after doing some research, I decided that it would be a good time to set a major goal -85 MINING! Mining has always been a favourite for me, excluding the long hours it takes to raise. Since I have the summer off, I think it's a great time to break out the old Rune Pickaxe, and start up the Long Road to 85 Mining. How I will be doing this? (Gaining Exp) The process is a very easy one. I will explain it in 3 easy steps. Step 1 - Mining iron! I will be mining iron ore at the Varrock East Mines. Many people have stated that the Dwarven Mines are better, but from past experience, I find the Varrock mines more suitable. Step 2 - After I mine a full load of iron (28 ores) I will hand it off to one of the many people that I meet at the mines. I usually ask another person mining iron right next to me only if he/she has a rune pickaxe. This eliminates that person as competition, and they are most likely to accept free iron ore. Step 3 - The person that I hand the 28 iron ores to will run to the bank, deposit the ore, and come back for another 28. It's that easy! I am getting rid of the ore easily, therefore giving me more time for exp, while another person is getting free iron ore, and thus free money! I will hopefully continue this to level 85 mining and maybe beyond ( 3,258,600 exp +) How am I doing so far? (Current Progress/Status) I have started this Mining Goal at level 71 mining - 814,476 exp I will continue this goal until level 85 mining - 3,258,594 exp My current Mining level is 73 - 1,019,251 In simple chart form - Exp when started/Current Exp/Goal Exp 814,476 exp/1,019,251/3,258,594 exp Level 71/Level 73/Level 85 Iron Ore Left Till 85 - 64,000 - Sure it seems like a lot, but... - actually, it is a lot! I will update this every so often Iron ore gives 35 exp when mined I takes 1 hit of the pickaxe to mine iron ore - with a Rune Pickaxe Current World - 37 Toronto Current Location - Varrock East Mines What keeps me going? (Support List - Hopefully) A Support List is the main reason I made this thread. Support is the #1 reason that I keep going for my goals. heh, i'll support ya, i'm gonna do same thing i think anyways, what you need to do is time how much exp you get in one hour then see how many hours you need to get 85 GOOD LUCK! |

Good luck. From past expierence of getting 85 mining, i like to power mine at al kahrid. there rocks right there. after a full inventory of iron ore, just drop them and mine some more! i got well over 30k xp an hour doing that, sometimes like 100k xp a day. |

take a break every once and while or else you won't make it. found out something you really like to do on rs, do it for a bit, then back to mining. |
