This is outdated, all of this and more can now be found at my new blog here

If I can now find the time to have all the links there and put them here then i'm sure that would be dandy with you lot, but it will take a lot of time.

The Graphic Design Resource Library
I wanted to get as many different resources/tutorials together so that I can find good stuff easily and, ofcourse, to help others who want pretty much everything photoshop wise. So, I made this. Hope it helps. Revamped- 9th May 2009.

The GIMP -- The original GIMP
Gimp Shop -- Based on The GIMP, however revised to make menus like Photoshop
Inkscape -- This is an Open source vector program.

Sections:
Photoshop Brushes:
  • Brushes that you can download to use in photoshop. They are premade pictures that you can use easily when using photoshop.
Patterns:
  • Patterns are patterns. Simple as that. You can use these instead of having to line up a load of images into rows and collumns.
Stocks:
  • Stocks are just pictures. You can use them in signature or a larger piece.
Tutorials:
  • Need help with photoshop? Want to learn how to use it like a pro? Follow some tutorials to pick up tips and make your skills with photoshop better.
Fonts:
  • Fonts are just different styles of text, use different fonts to change the way your text look.
Other Handy Resources:
  • Buttons and icons: Buttons and Icons can help out a lot when web designing. Use them instead of taking your time to make your own. Or just make your own!
  • Photoshop Shapes: Use these like brushes, but they don't decrease in quality if you change the size.
  • Photoshop Gradients: An expansion of the bucket tool, the gradient tool lets you make a fill form one colour to another. Very useful.
Inspiration:
  • Gather ideas from other peoples work. Many of the links are artist portfolios. Do NOT use their art like you would stocks!

Some can, you will just have to adapt it.

For GIMP Tutorials i suggest http://gimptalk.com/

All the brushes and fonts are the same though

I agree with Sev. You could just use a link to Planet Renders. That's where I get all mine from. I hope this becomes a sticky, could be useful to new signature makers so they can find where to go to get good renders, fonts, brushes and stocks.

Added a new section for icon packs and stuff, as I keep finding them!
Continuously adding more links in!
