99 Nagic? And defense is spelled with an S instead of a C.
Besides that, it looks pretty cool.

Yeah just noticed that haha, I'll fix those hold on, oh and defence, in runescape isn't spelled with an S, it's with a C.

For a second sig it's pretty good. I've never even seen Photoshop CS4, I only use CS2 myself.
I like the background effect and the rainbow look it has. However, the text doesn't fit. The rest of the sig is 'dark' and colorful, sort of has a grungish feel aswell. The text (in the middle) is smooth and semi-colored, and the outer glow doesn't match either the background or the text itself. However, the text on the left of the sig is done very nicely.

Like I said above, for a second sig it's not that bad. However, it could be better.

Also, nice work on the BBCode. ;) lol

Yeah, I didn't even think of changing the font. I'm sure if I worked another 30 minutes on it, it would look a lot better, but thanks for commenting :).

Actually, working 30 minutes on font is bad. That sig, although a second one of yours, shouldn't take so long to do. I know you're still trying to find your way around CS4, but spending 30 minutes to fix font is a bit much.

Have you looked at any tuts for it?

I know all of ours here are for CS2 and GIMP, but Adobe' is run by lazy people and the Photoshop CS's barely differ in anything more than a new filter or two and some user format changes here and there. I'm sure that our tuts here would work just as well for you ;)

You've got lots of colours in this signature and I think that's one of it's main weaknesses. The others being your background is very sharp with high contrast and you've tried too hard on your text, it looks complicated and messy.

With colours, try to make asignature based on a few similar ones, rather than going from blue to red. It's quite hard to mix cold and warm colours together and so starting off by just using warm colours (like reds, oranges, browns, etc) or just the cold ones (blues, greens, purples, etc.).

Your background has a few distinct problems and it's very common with new users of photoshop so don't feel intimidated. Instead of using the default brushes and using a plethora of effects for your background, download some nice brushes from here (just choose some you think you'll like) and they'll help to improve your background making skillz.

Text, it should be simple. You don't need complicated text effects like bevel/emboss. It's very good to experiment and the like but that's something I would suggest you prevent yourself from doing as soon as possible. A few effects I've always liked to use is to set the font layer to overlay or soft light and give a simple white or black stroke. The actual font is vital to this effect and you can also find some more at deviantart right here.

That's all I've got to say on your signature. Keep practicing and you'll improve very quickly. ^_^

Wait wait wait. Photoshop CS4 is out?!?!?! *calls up Brice and asks for a PC and Mac version*

It looks.... okay. Not bad, not good either. The effect doesn't look that well on the signature and needs a border as well. Actually, nothing really blends in with each other.

Need clarification: is CS4 really out?

Yeah, I meant the whole sig overall, like border, text and the variations of colors not just the text. I was saying if I spent 30 minutes more on it, it could be made alot more professionally and look a lot better.

It looks really strange, but quite good. I only really like the way the blue to green effect looks so if you could just have that and get rid of the glow around the rs character. See what it looks like then. I think it might look better.

Yea it doesn't look the best of it's ability, I am just experimenting, hopefully to get a lot better at rendering. This was just to show you where I'm at as of now, and then update you on my new sigs.
