I used to pride myself on making absolutely amazing banners. See, banner's are a special art. They aren't at all like sigs. You have to balance text and render's with a large backgrond. You have to make it simple without being boring, and you have to make it complex enough to catch the person's eye. They're large room that you can't pointlessly fill, and they need to convey what you want the 'website'/clan to be associated with.
This is my all-time best banner, and after this I stopped making them.
It was made for a clan that I helped found, and run, for over two years. The clan went through several transformations and leadership issues, but the members stayed strong. Despite vast differences in personality and gaming styles, they pulled together and managed to bring the clan to greatness.
I wanted to portray a feeling of unity through difference, if you know what I mean. I wanted to show that people from all kinds of backgrounds can come together, fight together, and live together.
