I like the new one, but you aren't doing much to the bottom part. Try adding more effects to the bottom and change it.

New one definatly stands out more. |

the new one is tight tho the top left of the H is a bit dark with all those bullet holes. an idea would be to make it shot a bit lower on the h and sorta collapsed from it's metallic weight. the flames do seem a bit high there in the middle of the H's legs, lowering them would let you give them more detailed action.  other than that it shows alot of progression on the flame work from the old one stick with it. |
