Doesnt look to bad for your first  The only things I can see wrong are at the bottom of the apple its kinda choppy and the stem is way to thick and its a little off center. Other than that I'd say its a pretty good 3D Render of an apple.

Congratz for your first 3D! As Tj said though, it is choppy. Try making the apple shorter, though. |

Nah, apples come in all shapes and sizes. Only the commercial hybrids look perfect. 
Edges are just a bit sharp and the stem looks pretty fat, otherwise I think it looks great for a first. I've never successfully managed to render anything myself, anyways.

Looks a little bruised around the edges. XD Idk if i'd eat it. good job, but fix the green/brownish part. |

Haha, when I read "Apple", I thought you meant the computer Apple. 
I think in the bottom left corner it seems a little to much lit up, but I'm no expert on that kind of stuff.
