You won't be able to achieve this with MSPaint for a start.
Download Macromedia Fireworks MX04 [(trial) if you don't have it already] and use the transparency tool to toggle it's visage to your likes

or get photoshop (7) and remove the background then save as .gif. ~hello5000 |
