The Sabre's are the oldest, and longest lasting clan in Runescape, anyone who wishes to dispute that might aswell just stay away from us, we've already won that argument so there is no point in having it again. With one of the most colourful histories, we really are a great clan. The only thing that has stopped us recruiting as well as other clan's, is the name rule where we required member's to have the word 'Sabre' in their account name. That being said, we have decided that we are going to allow those without Sabre names into the clan provided they meet certain requirements.
We have reasonably low requirements (although these will rise some time in the future) and a large, friendly community to get to know. With an increasing amount of member's every day, we aim to rise up in the world of clans once more and become a well known clan for what we do today and not just for what we've done in the past.
As you may, or may not know, we are an anti-rpk clan (anti-random player killing). This mean's we go into the wilderness, to kill groups of pker's and make its safer for all the miner's, clue hunter's and explorers. We will not attack anyone who is not hostile or doesn't threaten us in any way. Some obviously are against this because they like to pk so much, but this is our way, and if you want to be a Sabre, you are going to have to get used to it.
We have a group of event organiser's who are constantly coming up with new ideas for events to keep the Sabre Clan an active and fun clan to be part of. We also go on the normal events that other clans have, such as wilderness raids, kbd trips, fun wars, etc etc. There are a few picture's below this post, but most of our pictures are provided on our forums.
Though we are opening to the public, we would also like to stress that the option does remain for people to create a Sabre character if they so wish to. There are requirements for both though as we feel that if someone is going to make a new character, then they must be able to train quickly to meet the minimum requirements of those not starting over.
Non-sabre account requirements;
:: 80+ Combat OR 65+ HP with 70 magic/ranged.
:: A referral from a member with 'Sabre' in their name (though you can apply without one and we'll put it to a clan vote).
:: Understand, and agree to the code of conduct.
Sabre account requirements;
:: Gain 75 combat in 2 months.
:: 'Sabre' in your name.
:: Understand, and agree to the code of conduct.
We also have a one clan only rule, so you cannot be a member of the Sabres AND another clan. Split loyalties only create problems, so we only want people who are loyal to us and us alone. Furthermore, members who create a sabre character for themselves are more likely to progress up the sabre hierarchy at a quicker rate due to the loyalty already shown to the clan by making the sacrifice of starting over.
To join, please visit out forums (http://www.thesabreclan.com/forum) and post an application form in "The Outpost" after reading the stickied topics and the code of conduct. Upon posting you're application, the leader will read it over and then speak to the person who you have listed as your referee. If everything checks out, and you're application is accepted, you will be quickly welcomed into the Sabre Clan with open arms.
