Every time I log in now, I get an error and a message. Quote: You exceeded the maximum allowed number of login attempts. In addition to your username and password you now also have to solve the CAPTCHA below. What's the deal? |

I've had this problem too this week. Clear out all your cookies and stuff, then re put in you password and it should fix it. |

I looked into it and there have been people trying to login into every account which would trip the requirement for the captcha to be entered. After 3 attempts per account, it will require that user to enter a captcha on their next attempts till they have a successful login. I've blocked some IP addresses that were doing it in the firewall but the people who do these types of attacks usually switch IPs often. Everyones accounts should be safe as long as they don't have a super common password like "password", "123456", "qwerty", "runescape", etc. because the bots will quickly get locked out. Sorry for the inconvenience of having to enter captchas, I have been working on a few things to block the bots better, but it takes time. It's recommended that passwords have letters, numbers, and special characters in them and they should not be based around a dictionary word. |
