- Right now there is no lock time. With the forum restructuring we did a few months back, we turned off auto locking for some forums and were going to implement something to make sure there is always a full page of unlocked topics in those forums. I kind of forgot about that, we still have to do it but we've been working on other things. When that is implemented, the auto locker will lock topics after 2 weeks of inactivity only if it is on the 2nd page or further.
- We have to say that to give us the ability to modify submissions and use them as we see fit. We can't have something up on the site and then have to take it down because someone withdraws their permission for us to use it. Anyone posting in there is giving us irrevocable rights to use their work on our main site. This is different from other forums, where you can edit your own post out or ask a moderator to do it for you if you no longer want it there (you can edit in the submissions forums too, but it may have already been used for coming/existing content). I suppose it could be worded a bit better on the forum descriptions. All submissions will be given credit to their original author however when they are on the main site. And yes, the content crew is still working hard on this, there will be an update on this within the next 2 months.
- Guides can be work in progress, but there should be something there to help people out at least when first posting them.
- DST does have to manually be changed because DST does not start and end everywhere in the world on the same dates, and some places don't even use DST.
