In the community high scores it shows the exp until next level. Now this is fine until you get to 99 and then it goes really quirky. See my scores: http://highscores.rsbandb.com/runescape ... l_rankings/mercifull

Attack and Strength for example show a minus figure in this collumn but summoning and hunter show a positive one.

Is this a glitch or a feature that I just don't understand?

How do i explain this..er..technically the level is 100. You get 99 then it counts the exp up to level 100 then it goes into the minus.

You can see your progress bars for str/att is maxed but the progress bar for sum and hunter isn't maxed. I dunno if it actually is a level 100 but it counts the exp up to a certain point then when you've maxed the bar it'll go into minus exp.

That is correct. If you've just got level 99 in a skill it will show xp to level 100. If you're past 100 it will show negative experience.

Any plans on changing that so it shows your virtual level instead of a minus figure?

No plans on changing it. Currently there's no real market for it. Spending time figuring out the formula for every level afterwards would just be a waste of time.

another way of thinking of it is the negative xp represents the xp u r ahead of lvl 100.

Technically you'd only need to go up to 126 as 200m exp is still level 126. The RSBandB highscores technically go up to 138 right now on Woodcutting.

Well the formula is already known... I think. At least every 7 levels the ex doubles. Like if level 50 was 100k xp, level 57 would be 200k xp. I don't think it's 100% doubled though (like could have a 1000 xp diff)

It'd certainly be nice to have an option to see what your actual level is exp wise past 99 and compare it to others. We've got a lot of skills now with over 10 people with 99..so having an option to see who has the highest level out of those 10 would be nice.

Course you could just go by the exp but oddly i like the idea of seeing someones woodcutting at level 117 or something.
