Errm...we do.

For a few minutes after you post, it won't show that (presumably to allow you to correct any typos you catch after a second look).

I think he means being able to tell why you edited your post. Currently, users don't have that option.

Honestly, it couldn't hurt, so I support this idea.

Never been a problem for me i just write "edit: <insert reason>"

I do as Creepy does...put in an edit statement in the post. Works pretty well. Edit also won't show up until someone posts after you...I think. That's usually how it seems to work. Still, couldn't hurt to have an edit statement already inserted for you.

That's a part of the phpbb mcp system. I personally don't know how easy it would be to bring it down to user level. Anyways, what's wrong with just appending "Edit: ..." to your post ?

It's more organized and "official" looking

I actually notice edits better when they're in the post.

Edit: Tell me if you noticed this one first

But when you're doing loads of edits on one post, again, like a goals topic, it would be useful.

Keep in mind that Mike and myself are the only ones who can make changes like this. We already have a huge list of other things that have to be done. What would you rather have, this modification or the medals system sooner (perhaps)?

Another thing we have to keep in mind is that any changes like this also make it harder for us to apply performance and security updates to the phpbb core.

I'm sorry but the answer is no.
