I was in the clan chat yesterday and said somethings to someone that i regret. Another forum member told me that the person i say those things to dosent speak very good english. So, i apologised. Here is my proposal to solve members being annoyed Why not have different versions of rsbandb in different languages just like runescape. If there was a different version of that site in their primarily language, then they wouldn't get confused. If they were to post something in their own language on the chosen site, it would turn up english on the same topic, but in the english version. Not sure if it would take alot of work to do. Just an idea though.. Cheers, dafin0 ![]() |

Then people who can speak english enough but aren't great at it wont get any practice, and those who use it will be making a lot of confusing posts. If you are in a second language course at school and you use a translating program to translate a paragraph you write in english to that language and hand it in, you will do really bad. Not necessarily because you used a translator; although, it is really obvious and I would fail anyone who does, but because there will be so many mistakes. Plus, RSBANDB is an english site. There are RuneScape fansites in all different languages. If I wanted to interact with a community that used a different language, I would much prefer to learn their language then having a translating program do it for me. I may butcher the language, but so will the translator. Only difference is I will get better. I am also sure if you are typing online it doesn't matter what language you are using, you are probably not using formal writing. I'm not sure translators do so well with that. |

It would be really hard to make another language into this community because even though most of us know a second language, we don't know everything in it unlike English for most of us. When it is necessarily to make a joke, you don't know how to say it/implement it in another language. If this goes through though, I think French would be the first language to be selected because majority of the people in Canada uses it as second language. I highly doubt this will happen though. ![]() Like Warren said, it would be better for the few individuals to learn better English and interact with the majority of us more. That way they'll not only learn more English, but we will save the hassle of making another language too. ![]() |

No. The number of people who would use it would be so small compared to the time it took to convert everything. |
