Post subject:  An Explanation of Last Night on RuneWire

Last night RuneWire erupted in flames when a group of people felt one of their friends was unfairly banned. RuneWire became a place where frustration was vented and trolling occured. The ban was due to an escalation from a previous temporary ban which is still in effect for one week.

Due to the massive amount of posts on RuneWire any posts that were seen as a potential breeding ground for flaming or trolling were locked. If your post was locked it doesn't necessarily mean that you were flaming or trolling, it just meant your post had the potential to become a breeding ground for this sort of activity. We regret it if one of your posts became locked during this incident.

This permanent ban was realized to be a mistake seeing as the person who got banned hadn't read the message explaining the temporary ban when he had entered clan chat. As a result of this the ban was scaled back to the original one week temporary ban.

Finally we'd like to ask that everyone continue on as normal on the forums, RuneWire, and in clan chat. If you see someone breaking one of our rules please notify a moderator by use of the report system on the forums or RuneWire, or if you are in clan chat and no moderators are around please take a screenshot (as detailed as possible) of what happened and PM it to a moderator on the forums.

Thanks

PS: This topic is locked as the incident has been resolved. This is just an explanation of what happened.
