as you may or may not know, Rsbandb is officially on the Jagex-Recognized fanbase list to be talked about (check Alex 43's informer post), and it got me thinking is this a good thing or bad thing? on one hand its good because the RSBANDB site and its community can get recognized by everyone who plays runescape, but on the other hand, more ppl knoing about RSBANDB could mean more people on these fourms, which means a bigger community, which could mean more arguments, forum spam, etc etc. so do you guys think its good or bad?

I am indifferent. Many of them who do join wont stay long, its annoying but not terrible.

And besides, I already have my friends on the site, and they wont change just because new people get here.

Good that it's being recognized, bad only IF more people come.

Since they made that post, not many more ACTIVE people came at all.

I wouldn't like this site becoming as hudge as RSC to be honest. I like this place because it's not too RS based, which is good because half of members here dont even play it anymore.

I dont like big places. This is another reason why I stay here.

Bad. 75% of the RuneScape community can't string a proper sentence together, let alone have actual conversations.

Wont happen. Being on there ok list isn't going to make the site more popular.

I don't really think people go through that list and then go sign up for that sites forums. It's more of a reference to check if a fansite meets the guidelines that jagex expects.

good thing
more people makes more fun at events right?

Well.... that can be both good and bad.
More active members would be a plus, but I like this community. The same set of people who have been here for a long time ( not myself )
I like.
a Forum Family.
Good to be recognize , but is it really worth it... hmm.... I can't answer that myself.

I think the list has been there for 4 months? And I don't think any new member has joined because of it, so I doubt it will be a problem.

Most of the people you are worried about don't even bother checking stickies and other things (such as BIG BOXES AT THE TOP OF CERTAIN FORUMS THAT TELL YOU NOT TO DO SOMETHING YOU'RE ABOUT TO (submissions forum lol)) anyways, so... Probably wont really find that list.

I don't think that indifferent is the right word to use here. It would be more like neutral. The fact of the matter is that this will be good publicity for the site in general. Sure, their might be more users, but I not entirely sold that there will be that many. I think that if anyone wanted to go through the list and pick out one random site, the odds of B and B being that one site are slim. So for me, anyways, I think that it is a neutral things, if not good. We can deal with anymore users that decide to hop on board this train. :D
