I have heard so much about the samdbox but no one has ever explained it to me. Was it good? And why was it taken out?

Hehe. I feel old now.

The Sandbox was RSBandB's /b/. It was a board where we could test our signatures, or whatever, but it was mainly used for us to act like idiots. It was like a black hole. The only reason why many people visited the forums so often was because of the Sandbox. We could really post anything we wanted to.

When it was gone, some people actually left the forums...not naming any names...

Well 90% of the rules did. Just the spam related ones didn't exist, like double posting, pointless posting, etc.

Ah, I miss the sandbox. It's where I posted 70% of my posts when I joined. :)
It was basically where you would post pointless things or spam. But the posts did not count towards you actually count of posts.

The sandbox was a magical place where all of your dreams came true... and a place where immature people would start flame wars and generally troll about.

While it was a wasteland, it was *our* wasteland <3.

It was just too hard to moderate. All the topics moved so fast that even with the weekly pruning it would quickly get filled of flaming and spam that occasionally was inappropriate. The staff did try it on a more restricted rule basis but it still didn't work so ultimately it lead to it's extermination.

Because moderating it was a 24 hour job and after seeing idiotic post after idiotic post you begun to get sick of it. Personally i found myself disliking the site and the people on it because of it.

Was a breeding ground for retards, put off new users and encouraged the stupid ones to jump on board. It's a blessing that it is gone believee me.

It was a part of the reason of my old probation rank. I'm a very evil person if you provoke me :twisted:

Anyway, Glad it's gone. Else, If it would have stayed, I think I'd be banned XD
Sandbox removal saved my life XD

I like the forum games section better.
