Post subject:  Is it just me....
...or does it seem like there have been quite a few bans and probations lately? I'm suprised. They just keep popping up all over the place. I know there are reasons for them, but still, seems like a lot lately. Just sparked my interest.

They all undoubtably deserve it. I do think there should be a system in place to remove official warnings though, i think it's a tad bit unfair that someone could get 4 in a year. go 3 years with notihng and then banned for a moment of stupidity after years of good behavior.

I know supposedly they do get removed but it's very rare if you ask me. I still have one in my name over a certain TIMEZONE thing that needs to be gone. <>

I think that's to soft and an actual out in the open "we will forget all in this amount of time" solution is wrong, people will delibritly **** about then knowing it'll be gone. Base it on amount of posts made (a very high number of posts with no puishments, that includes spam) or something along those lines would be a better idea.

As long as it remained hidden and not known to us normies.

Any future clean slate movements if we decide to do them will be unannounced. I can assure you that everyone that is banned is banned for a fair reason within the rules.

If this topic is to ask if we'll be doing a clean slate act any time soon, the answer is no. If you wanted this asked or discussed in this topic, duke_juker can report the post and I'll lock it. Also if this moves into discussing as to why anyone was banned I will have to whisk this topic away.

I dont think I have much time left here. One more offense and I'm perm banned.
Half of my warnings were because of flamming so yea, I might deserved it.
Whenever something gets on my nerves,I flame, then I get a warning. Hello lady justice.
So uh, My wrath could be the reason of my probation. At least the red rank is hot.

well people always get warnings which you do not see
then once they had enough warnings they mess up again and bam they are gone
so maybe a lot of people with warnings have broken rules around this time
which if this happened it would seem like a lot of people are getting banned/probation
i dont know if thats what you wanted but i tried

Tabula rosa??? I just had to throw in that term there (although technically it means blank slate). :lol:

The reason I started the topic was just out of interest. It's just odd that people have been being banned and put on probation lately. I agree that they deserve it since there is a good reason. I guess it's just that time of the season where everyone starts to forget the rules or maybe just cast the rules aside in order to follow their own thoughts. Anyways, I suppose you can lock it if you want to bar further discussion. I did not intend in anyway to talk about any clean slates or who was banned and why. I just was struck by the notion that the number people have been banned or warned lately has gone up quite quickly. But I understand that punishments are necessary in order to keep chaos from running a muck. Carry on gents if you wish.

I've had one of my warnings removed. Well, according to Warren anyway. It was some feature with PhpBB3 to remove warnings over a certain amount of time going without warnings that was later disabled, I suppose.
