My favourite thing about RSBandB is no doubt the community highscores, specifically the Saradomin, Zamorak and Guthix %. I find the way I train my skills is to maintain a very good guthix %, and if it didn't exist, my stats wouldn't be near the way they are now so thanks for that.

Could you guys make a calculator which finds out your God % (Guthix specifically :lol: ) when you input your stats in it. It would allow people outside the forum to figure out their % and can allow you to compare your % to people randomly on the highscores. I personally am aiming for a 95% guthix rating though I have no idea how far away I am from it (I take it it uses standard deviations or something of the sort?).

If it takes too much time/effort to make them, is it possible to release the exact equation they're calculated so people can use it manually?

Those rankings are hard coded into the highscores. Mike designed the three when he created the highscores. I don't think he'd be willing to release the equations they use as people have asked this question before.

Along these lines I believe they were intended as a sort of "Ah.. that's interesting to know" feature. It might be something interesting to put on the new version of the calculators rather than a calculator itself ;)

I can add them to the Skill comparison calculator, and put them on lookup pages on the high scores for all people including those who are not current members.

The problem is, before I make these god favor rankings more accessible to the public, I wanted to change how they are calculated. I regret how I made them for several reasons.

If some people can convince me that they are fine how they are, I will leave them be, but I believe they could more accurately represent the runescape god's favor if there was such a thing.

Right now, if someone got all their levels to 99, they would have 100% guthix, zamorak, and saradomin favor. That is not a problem, but I don't believe that is how the gods would really favor you in runescape. If you mastered all the destruction and combat skills, it's likely saradomin would not be as happy with you as if your combat skills were lower. The zamorak and saradomin favors would be changed to have a little reducing factor depending on if the skills of the other god are higher or lower. They would not be inverse of each other, they would just get reduced a bit if the skills in the other gods ways are higher, or increased a bit if the skills of the other god are quite a bit lower.

The guthix rank would go mostly unchanged. Although right now all 3 of them are based on levels only, when they should be based on XP a little bit.

This might seem silly because they are just numbers, but I wanted to ask sometime if anyone cared if they were changed a bit, and this seems as good as time as any to ask.

I actually agree with you on the Saradomin/Zamorak thing. I like how it is level based and not experience based, but I feel like the ranking should be more about the ratio of combat to non-combat skills than the levels themselves. I am very happy with the guthix one (seeing as I'm so obsessed with it). Maybe people will use the Sara/Zamorak percentages as goal setters with the way you propose... Thanks for the reply Mike
