Every Saturday morning, I have one tab loading Runescape, and another on RSBANDB Update. Now, I don't have enough hard drive space to download RSBANDB Update every week, so I use the flash player that's built-into www.update.rsbandb.com. Now, As Shane is halfway through tech news, I get distracted by what he's saying, and click on one of the links in the show notes that was citing in the episode. Everytime I do that, I navigate away from the page, and loose my place in the update, thus i'm forced to listen to the **** thing again. I suggest that you put a little javascript script on the page, that asks you if you wish to navigate away (Similar to the script on runescape.com) from the page, for the sanity of me and the other 100+ users that listen to the update via update.rsbandb.com. Thanks for reading Patrick |

Isn't there a way to make links on the page open automatically in a new window or tab? I'm pretty sure that could be put in place. |

Adding a confirmation dialog would be rather annoying to users who are just browsing the site. Reworking all the links to open in a new window would also be annoying. I will when I get some time look into making a separate popup that you can do with what you want. For now I suggest you either middle click or control-click on the links to get them to open up in new tabs. Edit: Added a link for a popup player underneath the running time display. You may need to white-list update.rsbandb.com in your popup blocker for it to work. |
