I've noticed a few times when people quote other people who have emoticons in their text, the emoticons turn into text in the quote and I find that quite annoying.

I was wondering would it be possible to keep the original emoticon in the quote?
If not, its not a problem, it just gets annoying to me.

Looks like it only happens if the emoticon is at the very beginning of the quote and doesn't have a space between it and the bracket.
If nothing is done to make it always appear in quotes, you could always put a space when quoting someone.

i.e.:

[quote] :P[/quote]

Oh, I see that now. I swore I've seen emoticons in quotes before.
