Hello Everyone,

As some of you may have noticed, the swear filter option on the site now works; you can find it under display options in the ucp. If you want to disable it, you can. If you are offended by swears, please leave the filter enabled.

We want to take this opportunity to make the rules about swearing on the forums clear.

What is allowed:
  • Moderate Swearing

What is still not allowed:
  • Excessive Swearing
  • Racism
  • Sexual Language
  • Bypassing the filter (there is no reason to do this)
  • Illegal Drug references

Videos and Images with mild swearing are allowed but you must warn people, and if possible use a spoiler/hidden tag.

Thanks,
Rsbandb Staff

No. As long as it's in the contest of referring to you.

I think it's a good idea that this has been put into effect.

Like you said, as long as we don't go overboard unlike 90% of the Youtube community.

Go to user cp. Then go to board preferences. Edit display options. Click 'no' where you see 'enable word censoring'.

Oh ok, I wasn't planning on spamming bad words, but I saw others doing so, so I'm happy you made this post.

Thanks mike! Now the more mature players will have some freedom and the younger players will still have a security blanket.
is the censor on or off when you create a new account?

The censor is turned on by default when you create a new account. But this post is a warning to anyone who may have switched it in the past few months after the upgrade, as the option now actually works.
