hunter skill of the month freaking again? who is voting for this stuff? we just had a skotm for hunter 3 months ago and you saw how it went. connor and kelsey hunted all month dominating everyone by 12m exp. do you really think it will be any different this time? why not chose smithing, mining, herblore, farming, or construction? those are the lowest 5 skill overall for rsbandbers. it would be good to make it a competition to raise those skills seing as they're "everyone"s lowest. [edit] hey, i just noticed something... even worse than people chosing hunter again... we no longer have the ability to chose the next skotm apparently. is this just a lapse in memory and shane forgot to add that back in? or is this some attempt to mimick jagex's removal of site querries? not intending to bash on anyone but its just bugging me. i expected more diversity in skotms is all. especially since connor already told me ingame that he'd be winning this one again. |

The skills are randomly chosen. The only rule with picking a skill is that it can not be one of the previous two, this month that means no Summoning or Crafting. I do admit the chances of this happening are low but anything can happen when you're dealing with randomness. The same thing would be to happen if Farming was chosen and I was to enter. |

When you selected a skill previously, it wasn't a vote on it, it was a guess of what the skill would be. If you guess right, you get a prize on RuneScape. That would be no longer possible with the trade restrictions. A script chooses the skill, it was never voted on. |

I think it's funny how now, all 3 of kelsey's 99 skills have come up twice. XD To be frank, I think the 2 month rule isn't fair enough. We've only had 10 different skills in the past 16 months. No combat skills have yet to appear, nor slayer. Sure, I'm biased, but I can still be annoyed. |

That's because combat was removed from the SKOTM for some time, i attempted to keep it in the loop but it got taken out of my hands it's been returned again now and anything that comes out is random, unless it's a new skill launch we usually fix it to make it that skill. |

I have to agree with Cooper. The randomness is making SKOTM a few skills of raising and pretty much repeating them. I would enjoy something new. I'm starting not to like Fred anymore. |

We can't just have them in a set order, if we do that people can prep and yeah...perhaps we can write down our own order of skills including all of them and go through it one at a time, the list will stay secret so no one knows.. |

Maybe instead of complaining about this, people could take the time to improve on some of their less-favourite skills. ![]() |

We already have 9 signups for this month so it's nowhere near having no one competing in it. If you don't like the skill, don't sign up. We feel random is better because humans are inherently subconsciously biased towards a specific choice. We havn't ruled out adding another month of history to the black list of skills not allowed. Also making it 6 months would make it less random because there would be 4 fewer choices to choose than there are now. I wouldn't be so quick to judge fred ![]() |

Don't bash Fred just because he made a mistake! Programs are people too! |
