Post subject: | Bumping Clarification |
I'm just a little confused and would like clarification on the bumping rule and whether it is also in effect in the Tutorials forum. Previously I've reported posts for being bumped and they have been locked, while other times I've reported them for being bumped and nothing has happened. Today for example, there was a post dating back to March that was bumped and had already been reported by someone else, and the report had been cleared but nothing been done about it. So before anything happens... Are posts allowed to be bumped in the Tutorials forum? The rules say they aren't: The only place we will allow bumping (double/single posting with pointless message to bring topic to top of forum) is in the Marketplace category and in the Recruitment forum. Everywhere else it is NOT allowed. I also just noticed the vagueness of that rule since the "bumping" part of it means just posting spam to get the topic above the others, whereas the actual bumping of a thread after 14 days is not allowed in any forum? This is confusing me. ![]() |

Resolved on msn... but for those who can't read my screen: bumping is only allowed in the market place and recruitment every 48 hours. Everywhere else it's a no go. |

You're only allowed to bump topics after 48 hours in the marketplace and clan recruitment forums. furthermore you can double post in your own goals and achievement topic if you have a new goal or achievement to add. Not to bring it back on top. You're not allowed to bump someone else his topic. If you post it should be something thoughtful that really adds value to the topic. And you must do that within 14 days of the last post. |
