Code: Hello "Kyle"
We have detected multiple failed log in attempts (55) on your account. Therefore, to insure maximum security, we blocked your account on Runescape Bits & Bytes for 15 minutes. You will have one more chance to access your account, using the correct password, at Sun 15. Jul, 2007 03:57:20. If you receive this warning and are not responsible for those attemps, you should contact the site admin, and report this issue. If you forgot you password, please use the appropriate link to receive a new, random, password. Of course, you will be able to change that random password. Here is a few tips to choose your new, secure, password: - Never use "simple password" like your birthday, your dog's name, etc - Use both number and letters in any combination - a longer password is harder to guess. - use different passwords on different sites (e.g. use some of the site name letters in your standard password) This is really starting to get old.... |

![]() I just noticed it was happening to me to. ![]() I stopped checking the e-mail I use for forums regularly. Checking it now my account was blocked an hour and 30 minutes after I went to bed, 11 hours ago. Happened July 6th as well. |

Well I checked the IP that was doing it. Wasn't just Kyle. It was a majority of other people as well so I banned it. If this happens again, post it in this topic. I'll leave it open. |

The strange thing is, hes hacking users accounts without ranks. What purpose is he doing that for? If he gets on your account, well what then? XD Hes going to spam about? Wont even have a dent on the running of this forum. Don't see why this person is even wasting there time, seems like a pointless activitie to me. |

A member who's not been active in over a year who I speak to has said he's had the email a few times. Why anyone would want an account thats been inactive in so long I don't know. Maybe its just done randomly. |

Did the IP that was banned have a regularly used username attached to it? Possibly one of the recently banned accounts? |

If anyone is particularly worried about this happening to their account, you can always hide your email address and keep the MSN/Yahoo/ICQ fields clear. You can change these settings in your profile. That way, the person won't know your address. |
