OK i notice that you want the picture to be a PNG, but if you might know it or not Internet Explorer doesn't support transparent PNGs ( PNG images with alpha channel transparency) So what I am asking is I am going to be adding 150+ some monster to the forum, Can I make them in GIF transparency, but at a High Resolution? Like this one? ![]() |

PNG-24 transparency is not supported but PNG-8 is. But the reason we said PNG is because some people don't know how to compress and do transparent GIF's properly. But GIF's like that should be ok. |

Wow you are going to be adding 150+ images? That would be excellent. The reason we asked for png's is they are generally smaller size than gif's and look exactly the same. 8bit PNG's have 256 colors just like GIF's and normal transparency works without problems in IE. It's the 24-bit PNG's that have problems. But yea, like shane said, gif's will work fine too they are just a little larger in size usually. No big deal though |
