Post subject:  Guide Format

Perhaps their should be a proper format which, when writing a guide should be used. This can make the guides look a lot more professional as they all look the same (apart from content).

You can have seperate ones for each type of guide (Skill, Quest etc)

Now it may not seem like its needed, but it really does make the site look a lot more professional in the long run.

I think there already are formats, its where mike and shane tell you what they want in your guide or submission of a monster/item.

There already is a format for guides. Once people submit guides (submissions for the database aswell) the best and most complete guide will be chosen. As long as they include everything that the guide needs and is required by Mike and Shane its a guide. With submissions the submission team will organize those into a format suitable for the site. This is all being taken care of as far as I know.

pherhaps he means for the guides themselves? i guess it might help to filter out bad guides, but with so many guides already written, i hardly see it as necessary.

I just thought it would make it easier when it comes to uploading them all... You don't have to format EVERY guide written if the authors themselves wrote it in the format.

All the formatting will be handled on the website. When we put the guides in the database. THere's no way humanly possible that we could make each look the same, but us web developers have our ways and have it planned out already ;)
