Post subject:  Suggestion - Alternate Skins
I was just thinking, the rsbandb forum skins are cool, but what would be even cooler, would be alternate skins.

Now, i know how long it takes to design and code these things, so please dont say "do you know how long that would take?", because yes, I do, I've designed one befre, and the people I as working with were hopeless and coulnt make the images I sketched for them -.-

here are a few ideas;

Forest theme - Green; background, text - Vines as borders, Logo at the top as a 'nature altar theme' with monsters such as jogres and mosquitoes, not to mention moss giants.

Volcanic theme - A bit like the one now, only with a few mods, red text, with a very dark red bg, the borders should be kinda like a charred bone. Logo could be red dragons, +lesser demons and a fire altar/tzhaar theme.

Arial Theme - Dark grey backgrounds, Fonts of a pale yellow colour. With yellow lightning borders that 'glow'. Possibly dark wizards and saradomin strikes in the logo.


Thanks for looking - anyways, anyone got any more ideas?

THe problem with adding themes is that our forums are heavily modded meaning we'd need to make lots of tiny modifications. This would take tonnes of time. Right now we are working on other things such as the guides and databases.

It would be something like Tip.It, and I do like their skin layout. It would be interesting to see it, but it might just be too much work.

good idea, rune hq has multi-skins, but i think it'll just take 2 much time now, especially since mike+shane are really since they seperated servers from Rune HQ.

True to that. I like the fact RsBandB has a black skin. Makes it so much easier to see.

Plus, if they made it some colored skins, like green, then I wouldn't be able to see my text. I like green...

yeah, i like this skin, black is uber cool 8) , but yeah there's a problem with your volcanic skin suggestion, red writing....dark red background....it would be soooooooooooooooo hard to read.

Yes, I like the black theme too, since I'm colorblind, on white backgrounds, I can't see yellow, or any color lighter than that. Also, I can't tell the difference between red or green on SOME occasions.
