Post subject:  Multi-Fansite "Field of Pink" Drop Party and Snowball Fight
Hello everyone,

We're pleased to announce that RSBandB will be participating in a multi-fansite event, two of them to be precise.

The first event is a drop party in which over 15M worth of items will be dropped. The second event is a classic snowball fight in the wilderness using Air Strike.

Drop Party Info
Where: East of Edgeville, Outside the Grand Exchange, World 34
When: Sat October 1, 2011 at 12pm PDT, 1pm MDT, 2pm CDT, 3pm EDT, 7pm UTC, 8pm BST.

The drop party will last all of 30 minutes, don't be late.

The snowball fight will take place at the Rune rocks in high level wilderness. We will meet north of Edgeville before heading up into deep wilderness. Please bring runes for air strike (air + mind) and food. This event also brings the chance to win 200k as select fan site leaders will have 200k in their inventory.

Snowball Fight Info
Where: Meet in North Edgeville, we will then proceed to the Rune rocks. World 34.
When: Sat October 1, 2011 at 12:30pm PDT, 1:30pm MDT, 2:30pm CDT, 3:30pm EDT, 7:30pm UTC, 8:30pm BST.

Oh and one more thing, it is suggested to wear pink clothing to this event! I'll be wearing pink, it's the only time you'll see me in pink ;).

Not to be an ***, but 15m seems pretty low for that many fan sites being involved. Otherwise, sounds like a great event for all the sites to get together and meet each other.

The 15mil is just the initial contribution from a few of the fan sites I think. I'm not sure what all the other fan sites are adding to it, but Shane and I definitely will be buying some of our own items to drop for it.

If anyone else would like to contribute, feel free to message Shane, myself, or an events crew member.

There should be more details about the total value of the drop as the event gets closer.

October 1st i'll be back at uni so i won't be able to come but if a donation system is produced i'll be happy to donate a few million gps worth of items :)

Hey, Gaogier from RuneHints here.

Sadly I have had a lot of family problems from my Nan being in hospital and nearly dying to my nans living partner having a mini stroke and a mini heart attack, to my sister being violently ill and myself preparing for an operation.

Adam - the other admin has just come back from holiday, Maggo is away, Moore is away.

RuneHints is getting 1m worth of stuff to drop due to this, I wish I had more time to get more cash to drop. I don't know when my nans living partner is going to be out of hospital, but I will be there for the drop party with 1m worth of stuff, not sure weather to get more adamant items or less rune items to drop.

I will not go into the wilderness - I have not died out of a safe game since 2002 or was it 2003 when the santa hats came out? I died boxing day lol.

I am contacting each fansite thats taking part like this to see how things are going there end, feel free to contact me either on RuneHints, RuneScape or this site RSbandB.

I'm still not sure what some of the other fan sites are contributing to the drop party. I looked on most of their sites and on the event planning thread and most of them haven't mentioned how much they are or if they are.

Shane and I are contributing about 8mil, so the total amount dropped is at least 40mil with Gaogier's 1mil, the initial 15mil which I believe is all from Poultrychamp at Stellar Dawn Central, and at least 16mil from some unspecified donors to Poultrychamp.

The event is more about meeting up and having some fun anyways, so I hope to see you all there.


Edit: Thanks to Jer, Trekkie, Macbeth, and Ablazin Scar for dropping items as well.

The event went as well as could be expected. I hope some of you got some items.

Hey, Mike and shane you guys want access to the pictures I took?

I have taken a lot of pictures of this event, thats what I do.

I have posted directions on the RuneScape Fansite Staff forum so you guys can have access to some of the pics I took.

How many pictures total? 730 give or take a few.

I think due to lag, 480 are unique, 250 copies, but all are included. The file is 1.4Gb, so please download once per fan site.
