Post subject:  Forum Post Counts
Over the past 5 and one half years we have continued to grow in population. We've also grown new features and sub-forums. The most important of these results is our current user base. Our users are tremendously important to us. Everyone was a new user at some point and you all have memories of what it was like when you first arrived at RSBandB. What we want to do from this point forward is make RSBandB a fun place to be, not to say it's not fun already.

In order to accomplish this we have removed post count from all of our forums. We've done this to improve the experience for all of our members. Recently new members' posts have been discredited because they only had a few posts. We hope that with this increased equality among yourselves that everyone will be treated with respect, no matter the age of their account and post count.

We thank you for your support, both past, present, and future.

Oh you'd better hope this is april fools. I'm like 600 off 10k. You couldn't bloody wait till then? That was my one goal on these little boards then i was going to retire from posting and just edit old posts to funny words like boob.

You punish idiots by giving them warnings not by punishing the entire forum (i.e me as I'm probably the only one put out by this as i was **** CLOSE :@) by removing features.

I'm not treated with the respect i feel my massive, huge, enormous post count deserves but I'm not demanding it gets removed. HOW will i let people know i have more posts than them and thus prove that i DOMINATE them now?

Part of this post is a serious and valid point I'd like to make providing this isn't an april fools see if you can spot which part it is. You've taken my 10k landmark from me. This is a crime that cannot stand. I wont make 10k posts anywhere else because everywhere else on the internet is full of twats. That's a once in a life time thing Shane. ONCE IN A LIFETIME. I might not get another lifetime. :@

I was wondering what happened to the ranks when I logged in XD.

And yesterday, I was looking at creepy's post count and saying: Omg this guy is awesome! 10k post count?!
I feel really bad for you :( .

Other than that I can't say it was a bad idea. Like Shane, I've seen a few members being discredited because of their activity before. And also saw people just posting for their post count.
I don't mind this change too much.



However, a suggestion: What if we could still see our post count, but only in your profile? Ranks would still be off of course.

Or we could have a new rank:
Members that have been registered for more than 60 days (or 120, 160, 200, whatever the moderation decides) would receive a special rank. Probably... Power Member? No special rights or anything. Just for the shows.

See I'll be brave enough to admit I doubt it's a joke because it's a very bad one if so. Cause no one cares about the PC but me. And i only care because i think something magical will happen at 10k.
