Post subject:  RSBANDB Needs your Support
Since 2004, RSBANDB has been here to provide the Runescape community with calculators, stat/goal signatures, and other free services to enhance your gaming experience. Lately, however, we've fallen on hard times and are $120 dollars short of our hosting costs. After much consideration we've decided that the only way to help maintain the site, services, and community is to appeal to you all and ask you to donate in order for us to stay afloat.

This was not an easy decision to make, and we hope you understand that we are doing everything we can to make things work. We will be introducing a new pop-up ad system that will affect the main site only. Shane and I are doing our best to keep obtrusive ads from the forums, but if we still cannot afford to run the site, we may have no other choice.

We ask that you please donate if you can. As always, all donators to RSBANDB will receive the RSBANDB Donor rank and your name will be added to our donor list on the site. We appreciate any and all donations and hope that we will be able to make it through the month. Thank you for understanding our situation.

I'm sorry guys, but seeing as i'm only 14 atm, I legally can't have a credit card, and my parents are being tight asses, and won't give their credit card number so I can donate. Hopefully some of the older folks, or the younger ones with parents who aren't as tight-assed will be able to donate. I'm really sorry guys :(

Oh god, I am so sorry. I'm only 13 and I have no way of sending any money to you guys, and my mother has no money at the moment to donate.

More activity on the main site is necessary, then, since popup ads will only last so long. I think we really do need to get the system for guides and submissions up and running to encourage people to actually submit more. There needs to be a start made on it because nothing has happened pretty much since RSBANDB began. Plus, I want to use RSBANDB's guides, not those of other fansites. :(

Possibly you can add some ads on calculators and stuff, if that hasn't been done. Just a suggestion, as I can't donate unfortunately.

That's true, i don't use rsbandb guides right now because they're inconvenient to find. Even if we don't have a complete set, putting those we do have into public view will generate a few more hits. I'd certainly use them, and I know we get the more recent quest guides very fast too. Faster than some other fansites sometimes.

If Rsbandb shuts down I'd be like losing a friend.
I wish I could do my part to keep it alive but, currently I can barely afford to make my rs account a member. I'm sorry.

Oh and just an fyi, the paypal button is fixed now, it used to try and make you start a subscription no matter what one you clicked, now it works for one time donations.

I will ask my mom if she will use her paypal, then give her the £30 after she has done it. That's if my parents dont mind.

I really want to keep this community alive. Its the only one I fit in to and I have too many friends here to be separated from them.

Rsbandb is a wonderful community and I'd hate to see it go. When I get my bank account hooked up with Paypal I'll be sure to donate some money to help support.
