Post subject:  Scammers.
Hey everyone, I'm just reminding everyone that Jagex will not ever send you an email asking for your password, or send you to any site other then "http://www.runescape.com" to enter your password.

There are many people who know how to fake an email address eg) "andrew@jagex.com" can be faked. So, do NOT trust any emails that look suspicious.

I will also tell you that, although the mods and admins may email you, we will never ask for your password to your forum account either.

Anyone asking for any password is most likely trying to scam you out of an account somewhere or retrieve person information about you.

If they are the owner of that site they would not need your password.

Oh and peoples there is such thing as email address cloaking.

EXAMPLE:
Your email is: RuneScapeBB@rsbandb.com
You can cloak to: Staff@runescape.com

its possible...

First, it would be like a warning or a important message..
And it wouldn't say anything about wanting your pass..(Like Mike said)
And the domain would be rsbadnb.com

I got 2 scams today both the same way.
