Hello all! First post! Anyway, I am going to be a member soon, and as a result, I want to get my defence up to 60 to be able to wear dragon armor. I have a combat level of 67, attack of 61, strength of 53, and defence of 49. I am currently training on helllhounds in the wilderness volcano, for pretty quick xp, but as a f2p player, they only drop bones. Should I abandon them for greater demons, or some other monster? Wow, I must've inspired people to raise defence! You can train on anything, really. I personally stabbed guards because I found it to be fun, but there are better places to train combat skills like the stronghold of player safety in edgeville. The places you are killing stuff at now sounds like you pack a lot of food and kill stuff for a bit. I tend to train where the enemies can't do anything with the defence I have already so therefore I can stay there forever and never have to eat anything, unless they get a lucky streak and hit me for a lot of damage. |

50-60 Def is quick xp for me with flesh crawlers in the stronghold, don't use a rune scimitar, it's horrible def experience tbh. I'm using a regular rune sword, which can be bought in G.E for around 12k, just use the +5% option and it should buy. Here's my Defence thread.. to see how quick it is. Good luck

Things go by faster if you use a weapon that works well against the enemy you are fighting. I laugh at all the scimitar users that slash away at the guards' chainbodies while my rune shortsword goes right through their armor. |

I don't know how well rune sword works with flesh crawlers, but it seems to be working for me. I level quite quickly. |

Flesh crawlers look like they'd be weak to a crush-type attack. |

Rune sword is a lunge type, so would rune scim actually be better for them? |

Wow! So many replies! Anyway, yeah, it's annoying constantly buying lobsters and strength potions. I am using a rune battleaxe for power. Flesh crawlers might be good. Are there any monsters that have good f2p drops to make back the 100k I spent on armor, weapons, and foo, and aren't very grindy to level up on? Thanks. |

If you need fast money in F2P, go make some steel bars and sell it on the GE. If your mining and smithing aren't level 30, train that for a while. It will help give you some financial support. |

Cockroach soldiers drop a few rune items, but thats really all. And Rune Battleaxe isn't that great for training use a scimitar,longsword, or a sword. |
