I'm going for one of these weapons and can't decide. I'm not going to so slayer after maxed melée (98/99/91 currently) I do bosses and PvP sparaticly. Post your arguments for what is better for me, and just overall. Personally I am leaning to rapier. Its speed is what intrigues me. |

Well i dont own either myself although i have heard that the longsword is better. |

I've heard the rapier is pretty amazing, it's like a whip on steroids. |

Longsword is better for bosses and slayer.. yet rapier is better for pvp. A hard decision it is young doglvr36. Clouded my mind is about this [/yoda] |

I'd suggest rapier but if you plan on training dungeoneering, why not get both? As a rule of thumb, the longsword is better for PvP and most bosses and the rapier is better for slayer and general PvM. That said, they're both pretty awesome and you'd most likely be happy with either so don't agonise over it too much -- follow your heart. |
