| Post subject: | scimitars or lonswords? |
What weapon should I use? I'm f2p and have 51 atk,str, and def. Should I use a longsword or scimitar, both with a rune berserker shield. Or should I ditch that and go with my 2h and use my defence hone my defence to take less damage? P.s. I use rune |

For free to play, use a scimitar. The attack speed of the scimitar overtakes the longswords overall stats by far. You could use a 2H to finish opponents in pvp I guess, but I'm not too savvy with pvp. |

Yea I've always chosen scimitar > longsword, regardless of the metal. |

yeah def scimitar over longsword anytime no matter what metal it is. you'll be happy with it for sure |

I did longsword way back in the day of F2P and when I enjoyed combat. But I was stupid then. Scimmys are the way to go for sure. Go with that. |

Yep. I agree with using a scimitar. That's what I've always used. Two-handers are better for giving out more damage, but a shield and a scimitar should more than compensate for lesser damage. |

I agree with all. The 2h sword is very powerful but lacks in speed. The longsword just isnt good at all in my opinion so the scimitar wins. Scimitars are arguably the best weapons money can buy for an f2p. I have never owned a longsword apart from the dragon long because i needed a quest to use the d scim. But that doesnt matter because you are f2p. Buy one and enjoy! |
