I've always genraly thought smithing was slow skill to raise straight from the begining, currently im doing the whole cball method. You could always, if you have the money, just make steel pl8's. That can be quick. Given you has the moneys |

Mine your own stuff if you have the time and save your money. That way, you can get mining and smithing up at the same time and make a lot of money int he process. I heard gold bars are good. Steel is alright as well. The one option I considered for members is rings of forging and 100% iron bars. That seems to work just as well as steel. |

I forgot at which level but once you can make those mithril bolts, do them at the blast furnace in *that* world. Its pretty fast xp and you could actually make some money from it. (From a few months ago anyways). Also making steel bars might work, buying the coals and the irons. |

If you're looking to make money, smelting, as opposed to smithing items, is always better. Smelting steel bars gives you a profit and exp. |

If you do steel, it'd be best to mine your own ores as the price of iron ore in the GE is rising 2gp per day. Last I checked it's around 264gp, which means more than 1m for 5k iron. (I'm training smithing as well, so I've been keeping an eye on iron prices) |
