Gold definitely since you can get the last level easily, without having to click as much as granite. It also adds up the cash pile when you sell the gold. |

I would say gold, it will probably take longer, but extra money never hut anyone if you're dedicated. |

I think anything close to where you get the mining skillcape would be good to get 99 Mining on, so I chose Gold to get 99 mining on. |

I can also use Rune pickaxe to mine Gold ore in the LRC. |
