The santas are way too high right now even though Christmas passed half a month ago. I liked it back in July 09 when they were like 12m. |

Theoreticly, yes, but realisticly they will eventually max when the ratio of people who would want the money exceeds the number of people who want the hat.... I dont know when that will be but it will theoreticly cause a peak in prices |

You also have to keep in mind that people probably won't ever even want to pay over 100m for them, except maybe merchants |

Yeah, santa's will reach a peak where the price will be more then people will want to pay. Also, I believe santas aren't worth it. you lose em if you die (if you have more than 3 items) and they have no bonuses that are any good. |

People will never stop buying santas tbh. If a worthless cracker you can't even show off can go to 690M so can other rares. |

What an idea i just had  Buy a santa hat in mid summer, sell during winter time = big bam boom PROFIT. Seeing how this happens practically every year.

Down the line, they will probably be way worth more. I'm surprised no one mentioned this, but with santa suits, the santa hat would be a great addition for any person. You may not agree, but I think the more that time goes on, more people will want santa hats. Same with rares. Rares are rares. There will always be a smaller number or decreasing number of them. I'm sure they will all have their peaking points, but I don't think any rare is really worth it's weight in gold. Granted, that's only my opinion, but I bet you could find lots of people to agree. But even in real life, things that someone may not consider rare like a cheese sandwich with the visage of Mary in the burnt parts may be someone else's relic.  Not to poke fun at religion, but that happens all the time (even back in the middle ages, too  ).The moral: Rares will almost always be overpriced and will stay that way with a following. |

Good Point Duke, I doubt anyone expected the Red H'ween mask to reach the 60m that it is today. Expect the unexpected i suppose |

I doubt that Runescape will be around long enough for everything to be outragous like 150m+ for a santa. And if it is still around, I don't want to still be playing. |
