Which do you recommend are better to use?

I say Obby shield because it has a better def bonus. Use rune defender on monsters that don't hit as much though.

rune defender.

it gives you bonuses in everything but prayer i think (i think they give you some in range)

They both have +5 Strength but rune defender has better attack bonuses and Obby shield has better defense bonuses. Also Rune Defender is free and I use Rune defender over Obby shield. It's kind of your choice and also on what you're planning on killing.

Depends on if you want more strength or defense bonus. Go for rune defender if you have guthans/bunyip to heal.

I'm going to have to go with rune defender. You shouldn't have to worry much about def if you have decent armor. When I got my rune def I immediately saw a difference. My vote is rune def.

I havent touched an obby shield since I got a rune defender. But I havent touched a rune defender since DFS.

Obby shield is among the most overrated crap ever.

Rune defender ftw, But it takes forever to get it. It better than obby shield and you get it for free.

obby shield if you want def bonus and want to look ugly, rune defender if you want str bonus and want to look better.

My Choice is the Obsidian Shield. Although I have decent defence level and am always called a defence noob. I like having a shield for even more of a defence bonuses. Plus it gives some strength bonuses. It all maters if you train strength alot and depend on hitting high rather than me which I like defence more and depend on not getting hit.
