Where is the fastest place to gather yew logs, considering distance from bank, amount of people, etc.? Ideas: West of Catherby Gnome Stronghold Edgeville other Which one is best and why? Thanks! |

I see people at Catherby quite a bit, though a friend believes in the plan of chopping just above Rimmington, banking at Castlewars via ring, then home teleporting to Rimmington and repeating. Nobody is ever there, so you won't have to worry about overcrowding. |

If you don't want to use law runes to get to Rimmington, you can use the Entrana hot air balloons to the crafting guild, which require the crafting guild route unlocked after Enlightened Journey and requires 1 oak log per trip to the crafting guild. You can also teleport to the crafting guild with the necklace of skills. The Crafting Guild is further away from the yew trees though My personal preference are the Yews right beside the bank in the Gnome Stronghold, with my own grown in the patch. They used to be completely empty pre-banning, but I don't know how much they have picked up. Around January there were 1-2 people there. |

Edgeville's alright too, but wouldn't recommend it. |

When I was mems I liked to wc east of Catherby...it was kind of crowded, but there are a lot of yews so it didn't matter too much. |

You've got 90 wc so you'll be alright at Catherby.. that's really the only place I went. It can be deserted one minute and crowded the next though ![]() |

Other: Varrock - Varrock Palace. Find a good member's world. If you're f2p, then good luck, but, if you're f2p, north of the east bank is good too. Depends on which world at what time. |

If you are a member. Use the five trees or so west of Catherby. This is my favorite becuase there is always a lot of people there to talk to and stuff. As for non-members, my favorite spot back when I wasn't a member is behind the varrock castle. I remember that there used to be a ton of bots there but ever since the updates there is hardly ever any there. ![]() |

Ya someone posted a guide on it on tip.it and suddenly it got busy. There's also a magic tree right beside that patch which you can use Tidus. |
