Well, among other drastic and unfortunate changes, in late December the trading system was changed so you cant sell/buy anything for more/less than 3K (30K with 200 QP) of it's worth (determined by the Grand Exchange). This was to eliminate real world item trading + macroers, which it did, mostly.
The Grand Exchange is north of Varrock west bank. You can sell items on it, to anybody in any world. You can buy/sell an item within 5% of it's price. When the item is bought a lot on a price higher than medium value, it's worth price rises. When it's sold lower than medium, the price lowers. (alching values not effected)

There's a database that shows the prices of items:
http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/frontpage.ws
The search function is really bad though, it will be easier to find an item if you input its exact name with quotations around it. eg:
"green h'ween mask"

Dragon chain is currently 10.4M
Dragon skirt is 162K
Santas are 13M and have experienced extreme price drops lately (same with mask sets)
Black skirt (g) is 28K
Black beret is 63K

Wow. Things have changed since I last played...but what do questpoints have to do with buying/selling items?or does QP stand for something new that I don't know about, lol.
Oh,and thanks! :D

Well Jagex realized 3K is a really low value. Their solution was to have the price difference margin rise depending on your quest points, with the maximum value at 30K requiring 200 quest points.

Err, this might explain it better:
Quote:
Unbalanced trade

Because all trades must be 'balanced', you may be unable to complete a trade unless the value of the items you are exchanging is approximately equal. The bar at the bottom of the trade window will show you how balanced the trade is. The closer the arrow is to either end of the bar, the greater the wealth one of you will earn from the trade.
You are able to earn or lose a limited amount of wealth from trading in a fifteen minute period. This starts at 3,000 coins' worth for all players. Unless you are on a free world, this can be raised if you have completed a number of quests (see table below). If you have already earned or lost items or money in this time, you will only be able to earn or lose a reduced amount.

Quoted from this article, which has the table: http://www.runescape.com/kbase/viewarticle.ws?article_id=1998

Hmm...I think I understand.
I just wish Jagex never changed the trading system.
Thanks again for going through all the trouble.=]
